Clarice Norris

Dunn: Mrs. Clarice Jean Holmes Norris, age 87, of 2158 Erwin Chapel Road died Saturday at Betsy Johnson Regional Hospital.  A Funeral Service will be held 4:00 PM Tuesday at Rose & Graham Funeral Chapel in Coats. Officiating will be Rev. Robert Norris, Jr.               Mrs. Norris was born September 9, 1929 in Harnett County to Lester and Hettie Stone Holmes.  She was a homemaker and retired from Standard Home Planning Service and also Adams and Kinton Nursing Home.  Mrs. Norris was a member of Erwin Church of God of Prophecy. Surviving are her husband of 65 years, Rev. Robert "Bobby" Norris, Sr.; children & spouses, Robert, Jr. & Ann Norris of Burnsville, NC, Pam Ellis of Fuquay Varina, and Rhonda & Quintin Byrd of Dunn; sisters, Verlene Barbour and Diane Matthews, both of Dunn; brother, Roy Holmes of Garner;  grandchildren, Heather Brown, Brandi Blanchard, Patrick Norris, Colton Byrd and Canyon Byrd; great grandchildren, Victoria Brown, William Brown and Wayne Blanchard. The family will receive friends immediately following the funeral service on Tuesday.   Flowers are welcomed; however, memorials may be made to Erwin Church of God of Prophecy, 105 2nd Street, Erwin, NC 28339.
