Aaron Lee

Benson, NC:  Mr. Aaron B. Lee, age 89 of 3736 Hannah Creek Road, passed away on Saturday at the North Carolina State Veterans Nursing Center in Fayetteville.  Funeral Service will be held 2:00PM-Thursday at Rose & Graham Funeral Chapel in Benson.  Officiating will be Brother Timothy Dean and Brother David Brooks. Burial will follow in Banner Chapel Church Cemetery. Mr. Lee was born in Johnston County on April 11, 1926 to the late Perry Allen and Addie B. Lee.  Mr. Lee was preceded in death by son, Aaron B. Lee, Jr., grandson-in-law, Charles Alan Blackwelder, brothers, Lumas, Dallas, John, Shelton and Harold Lee and sister Vestal Jernigan.  Mr. Lee was a US Army veteran serving in WWII.  He was a retired builder and farmer.   Surviving are wife of 69 years, Doris Raynor Lee; daughter and son-in-law, Jackie and Jeffro Hudson of Benson; grandchildren and spouse, Cindy H. Blackwelder of Smithfield and Wendy H. and Charles Knowles of Newton Grove; great-grandchildren, Anna and Daniel Knowles of Newton Grove; brother, James Herman Lee of Benson; many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson from 6:00PM to 8:00PM Wednesday.
