Alice Anne Lee Barefoot

Benson, NC: Mrs. Alice Anne Lee Barefoot, age 81, of N. Augusta Ave, passed away on Monday, December 12, 2022.  Funeral Services will be 2:00PM Friday, December 16, 2022 at Rose and Graham Funeral Chapel in Benson, NC.  Revs. Steve Lawson and John Foister will officiate.  Burial will follow in Roselawn Cemetery in Benson, NC.

Mrs. Lee was born on June 27, 1941 in Johnston County, NC to the late Marion G. and Alice Johnson Lee.  She was preceded in death by her brother, Luther Frank Lee. Mrs. Barefoot taught numerous students how to play the piano and organ.  She was also a member of Holly Grove Advent Christian Church, where she served as the church organist and also in many other capacities.

Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Joseph D. “J.D.” Barefoot; brother, Gerald Lee and wife, Theresa; sister, Janet Capps and husband, Mike; sisters-in-law, Susan Lee, Phoebe Watson, Patsy Lee, and Jackie Johnson; brother-in-law, Kenneth Barefoot and wife, Linda; several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 12:45PM-1:45PM Friday, December 16, 2022 prior to the service at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson, NC, and other times at the home.
