Alice Blackmon Moore

Smithfield, NC: Mrs. Alice Blackmon Moore, age 85, of West Crestview Drive passed away on Wednesday, February 15, 2023 at The Landings of Smithfield. Services will be announced at a later date. Rev. Vicki Medlin will officiate.

Mrs. Moore was born on April 25, 1937 in Johnston County to the late Lundy and Bonnie Coats Blackmon. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Moore and her brother, Lemay Blackmon. Mrs. Moore was a homemaker and a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. She was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church in Smithfield and actively participated in Johnston County Extension Homemakers, the American Legion Auxiliary, the Pine Level Club, and the Sew and Share Club.

Survivors include her sons, Steve Moore and wife, Sandra and David Moore and wife, JoAnn; daughter, Melinda Fitzhugh and husband, Michael; grandchildren, Aaron Moore, Evan Moore, Adam Moore, Shayna Guthrie, Taylor Guthrie, and Jennifer Foster; and six great grandchildren.
