Alice "Tillie" Edwards

Smithfield: Mrs. Alice "Tillie" Beatrice Edwards, age 89, died on Saturday, March 6, 2021. Graveside Funeral Service will be held on Friday, March 12, 2021 at 12:00 P.M. at Hills of the Neuse Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 10:30 A.M-11:30 A.M. prior to the service at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Four Oaks. Officiating will be Pastor Sylvia Rackley.              Mrs. Edwards was born on November 19, 1931 in Johnston County to the late Lonnie Calvin and Addie Pollard Moore.  She is preceded in death by her husband, Erastus Edwin Edwards, Jr.; Son, Kim Roderick "Rod" Edwards; and siblings, Mildred Powell, Horace Moore, and Harold Moore. Mrs. Edwards was a retired social worker with Johnston County Social Services and was a life long member of Smithfield Advent Christian Church.             Surviving are grandchildren, Steven Roderick Edwards, Stefanie Dail Edwards, Russell Gene Edwards, and Brandon Shane Edwards; great grandchildren, Demily Nicole Edwards, Liam Anthony Cruz, Winston McEnnis Edwards, and Luna Reign Edwards; and brother, Frank Moore.               In Accordance with NC-COVID -19 guidelines, the funeral home suggests practicing social distancing guidelines and the three W's: wait, wash, and wear a face covering.
