Allene Dunn

Raleigh, NC:  Ms. Allene Dunn, age 87, of Marlborough Road went home to be with her Lord Thursday, October 17, 2019 at her residence. Funeral Services will be  11:00AM, Monday, October 21, 2019 at Rose and Graham Funeral Home Chapel in Benson. Officiating will be Rev. Joe Brown. Burial will follow in Roselawn Cemetery, Benson.             Miss. Dunn was born October 28, 1931 in Johnston County to the late Robert Walter and Allie Mae Lee Dunn. She was preceded in death by her brother, Charles Ray Dunn. Miss. Dunn retired after 56 years from Dorothea Dix Hospital in Raleigh and was awarded the Order of the Longleaf Pine.             Surviving include her brothers and sisters, James Robert Dunn of Fuquay-Varina, Jean Mason and husband, O. B. of Raleigh, Sherwood Dunn and wife, Janet of Garner, and Brenda Byrd of Raleigh; many nieces and nephews.           The family will receive friends 10:00AM - 10:45AM, Monday, October 21, 2019 at Rose and Graham Funeral Home in Benson.           Flowers are welcome; however, memorials may be made to Dorothea Dix Park Conservancy P.O.
