Benson, NC: Mrs. Alvie Wood Beasley, age 88, of 785 Morgan Road died Sunday, December 30, 2012 at Betsy Johnson Regional Hospital in Dunn. Funeral services will be 3:00PM Wednesday, January 2, 2013, at Lee’s Grove Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church in Dunn. Officiating will be Rev. Jerome Pope and Rev. Hubert Morgan. Burial will follow in Roselawn Cemetery, Benson. Mrs. Beasley was born November 11, 1924 in Johnston County to the late Willie and Betty Jane Wood. She was preceded in death by her Husband, Carson L. Beasley; Sisters, Ruby Wood and Eva Bell Blackmon; & Brother, Willie Alton Wood. Mrs. Beasley had retired form Dorothea Dix Hospital where she worked in the laundry department and was a member of Lee’s Grove PFWB Church. Surviving are Sons & Daughters-in-law, Carson Linwood & Katie Beasley of Raleigh; Ronald Eugene & Brenda Beasley, Danny & Jewel Beasley, & Randy & Theresa Beasley, all of Benson;  Eight Grandchildren; Thirteen Great-Grandchildren; and several Nieces & Nephews.   The family will receive friends at Rose & Graham Funeral Home, Benson, Tuesday, January 1, 2013, from 6:00PM to 8:00PM and other times at the home of Randy & Theresa Beasley, 761 Morgan Road, Benson, NC.
