Andrew "Andy" Ferrell

Benson, NC: Mr. Andrew “Andy” Lee Ferrell, age 73, of 105 Westside Drive died Tuesday, January 1, 2013, at his residence. A memorial service will be 11:00AM Friday, January 4, 2013, at the Rose & Graham Funeral Home Chapel in Benson. Officiating will be Rev. Greg McClain. Mr. Ferrell was born October 6, 1939 in West Virginia to the late Richard and Audrey Ferrell. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Carol F. Christmas.  Mr. Ferrell had retired from the US Army, was a Viet Nam veteran, member of the Banner Post 109 American Legion, and the VFW Post 670 in Fayetteville where he served as a past commander. Surviving include his Wife, Dorothy Wasson Ferrell; Stepchildren & Spouses, William & Vickie Dunham of Ga., Becky & William Mars of Charlotte, and Robert & Pam Dunham of Sanford; Daughter & Son-In-Law, Tammy & Daner Williams of W. Va.; Son & Daughter-In-Law, Greg & Tammy Ferrell of Florida; Sisters, Susie Bryan of W. Va., and Phyllis Remnel of IN; Brothers, Robert Ferrell of W. Va., and David Ferrell of CT; Eight Grandchildren and Two Great Grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project, 4200 Morganton Road, Suite 300, Fayetteville, NC  28314.
