Mrs. Ann Keene Hargis, age 85, passed away Sunday, October 31, 2021 at SECU Hospice House in Smithfield, NC. Funeral Service will be 3:00PM, Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at Rose and Graham Funeral Chapel in Four Oaks, NC. Burial will follow in the Keene Family Cemetery in Four Oaks, NC. Rev. Darren Brisco will officiate.
Mrs. Hargis was born February 15, 1936 in Johnston County, NC to the late Theron and Mildred Lassiter Keene. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hoover Young Hargis, son, Tony Young Hargis, and brothers, Charles Keene, Bobby Keene and Edward Keene. Mrs. Hargis was a retired certified nursing assistant. She was a faithful member of Unity Advent Christian Church outside Four Oaks, NC.
Surviving are sons and daughter-in-law, Brian and Karen Benson Hargis and Tracy Hargis; granddaughter Heather Hargis; great-granddaughter, Hanna Hargis; brothers, Rev. Billy Keene and Max Keene; sister, Shirley Parker; many loving nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 2:00PM-2:45PM, Wednesday, November 3, 2021 prior to the service at Rose and Graham Funeral Home in Four Oaks, NC, and other times at the home.
Flowers are welcomed; however, memorials may be sent to Unity Advent Christian Church, 304 Unity Church Road, Four Oaks, NC 27524 or to the SECU Hospice House PO Box 1376, Smithfield. NC 27577.
In accordance with NC-COVID19 guidelines, the funeral home suggests practicing social distancing guidelines and the three W’s: wait, wash, and wear a face covering. Face coverings are not required, but are kindly recommended for all services.
