Ann Yelvington

Elizabeth Ann Yelvington, age 84, of Clayton died Sunday, November 11, 2012. A Graveside Service will be 3:00PM Thursday, November 15, 2012, at Oakland Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Officiating will be the Rev. Dr. Steve Aschmann. Ann was born June 8, 1928 in Johnston County to the late John Eustace Yelvington, Sr., and Mary Johnson Yelvington. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Doris C. Yelvington.  Ann was the director of Research & Statistics Division of the NC Department of Labor, and retired after thirty years of service. She was a member of Oakland Presbyterian Church, a 1946 graduate of Cleveland High School, and a 1950 graduate of Flora McDonald College. Surviving are Brothers, J. W. “Bill” Yelvington of Clayton, and John E. Yelvington, Jr. of Raleigh; also nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends in the fellowship hall of Oakland Presbyterian Church immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Oakland Presbyterian Church Building Fund, 8927 Cleveland Road, Clayton, NC  27520.
