Anne Kost Turlington

Lillington, NC: Mrs. Anne K. Turlington, age 58, of Sheriff Johnson Road passed away on Sunday, July 24, 2022 at UNC Rex Hospital in Raleigh surrounded by her loving family. Memorial Services will be 11:00AM-Saturday, July 30, 2022 at Coats Baptist Church in Coats. Officiating will be Revs. Neal Thornton and Jimmy Newkirk.

Mrs. Turlington was born on November 18, 1963 to the late Robert William and Patricia Anne Davenport Kost. She was preceded in death by her brother, Karl Kost. Mrs. Turlington had a full career as a teacher and mentor at Coats Elementary School for 28 years. She was an active member of Coats Baptist Church where she participated in the Joyful Ringers and the Ruth Eller Sunday School Class. Mrs. Turlington also was a former member of the Coats-Grove Fire and Rescue Board of Directors.

Surviving includes her loving husband of 19 years, Russell L. Turlington; children, Joshua Ryan Waters and wife, Natalie of Bonneau, SC, Taylor Elizabeth Wilkins and husband, Randy of Lillington; grandchildren, Lillian Grace Waters and Liam Grayson Waters; sister, Melinda Perry of Greenville; sister-in-law, Nancy Dobson Kost of Durham; nephew, Jack Kost of Durham; special friends, Jenny Jernigan, Angie King and Lynn Pittman.

Family will receive friends immediately following the memorial service and other times at the home of Taylor and Randy Wilkins, 2495 Sheriff Johnson Road Lillington, NC 27546.
