Annie Coats

Linden, NC:  Mrs. Annie Stephenson Coats, age 93, died Monday, March 5, 2012, at Betsy Johnson Regional Hospital in Dunn. Funeral Services will be 11:00AM Friday, March 9, 2012, at Rehobeth Primitive Baptist Church, Benson. Officiating will be Elder Joe Helms and Rev. Gary Buffkin.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Coats was born May 13, 1918 in Johnston County to the late James Everette and Ellie Sue Stephenson.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Zeb Vance Coats.  She was a homemaker and a member of Rehobeth Primitive Baptist Church.  Surviving are Daughter, Betty Shields of Palm Beach, FL; Sons & Daughters-in-Law, Everette & Peggy Coats of Clearmont, FL, Billy & Marlene Coats of Plantation, FL, and Raeford & Faye Coats of Linden; Step Son & Wife, John A. & Margaret Coats of Linden; Brother & Sister-in-Law, Simon & Vivian Stephenson of Willow Spring; 7 Grandchildren; 7 Great Grandchildren; 1 Great Great Granddaughter;  7 Step Grandchildren; and 12 Step GreatGrandchildren. Family will receive friends at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson from 6:00PM to 8:00PM Thursday, March 8, 2012.
