Annie Ruth Wood Adams

Benson, NC: Mrs. Annie Ruth Wood Adams, age 82, passed away on Tuesday, February 20, 2024 at The Landings at Smithfield surrounded by her loving family. Graveside Funeral Services will be 3:00PM Saturday, February 24, 2024 at the Banner Chapel Advent Christian Church Cemetery in Benson. 

Mrs. Adams was born on June 29, 1941 in Johnston County to the late Woodrow Holton and Varena Blackmon Wood. She was preceded in death by her husband, Caris D. Adams. Mrs. Adams was a member of Banner Chapel Advent Christian Church. Mrs. Adams was a loving mother and grandmother. She was happiest when she cooked for her family.  

Survivors include her children, Stanley Adams and wife, Tracy of Goldsboro, Randy Adams and wife, Annette of Four Oaks, Jo Ellen Clifton and husband, Ken of Smithfield; grandchildren, Conner Adams (Jessica), Kailey Adams, Nicholas Adams (Linn), Lauren Harmon (Kyle), Luke Adams, Blake Clifton, Brett Clifton (Madison);  great-grandchildren Brenna Adams, Emma Adams, Eli Harmon, Aubrey Harmon and Whitley Clifton; brother, Ronnie D. Wood; and many other special family members.

Family will receive friends from 1:45PM to 2:45PM in the Banner Chapel Advent Christian Church sanctuary on Saturday, February 24, 2024 prior to the graveside service. 

The family of Mrs. Annie Ruth would like to thank her many caregivers during her time of sickness.
