Barbara Wood Denning

Benson, NC: Mrs. Barbara Wood Denning, age 67, passed away on Saturday, July 10, 2021 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Funeral Services will be 3:00PM, Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at Benson Baptist Church in Benson. Dr. Lawrence Powers and Rev. Ronnie LaFevers will officiate. Entombment will follow in the Denning Family Cemetery in Benson.

Mrs. Denning was born on July 8, 1954 in Harnett County to the late Isaac Franklin “I.F.” and Gladys Mae Jones Wood. She was preceded in death by her brother, Danny Wood. Mrs. Denning was a homemaker and accountant with Ray Mulkey Insurance in Dunn.

Surviving include her husband of 43 years, Mike Denning; daughters, Yorke D. Johnson and husband, Thomas of Benson; Mary Michael D. Britt and husband, Jason of Seven Springs; grandchildren, Lily Johnson, Charley Johnson, Isaac Johnson, Anna Johnson, Laney Britt and Cooper Britt; nephew, Reid Wood and wife, Angie of Dunn; great- niece and nephew, Ashton Wood and Anslee John Wood.

The family will receive friends 1:00PM to 2:45PM prior to the service on Tuesday in the Benson Baptist Church Fellowship Hall and other times at the home.

The Denning Family would like to express their thanks for the loving care given to Barbara by her caregivers.
