Berlene Langdon Ennis

Mrs. Berlene Langdon Ennis, age 95, went home to be with Lord on Thursday, June 24, 2021 at her son’s residence. Funeral Services will be 2:00PM, Saturday, June 26, 2021 at Coats Community Church in Coats, NC. Revs. Pat Chisenhal and Chuck Jones will officiate. Burial will follow in Coats City Cemetery in Coats, NC.

Mrs. Ennis was born on January 23, 1926 in Harnett County to the late Dester and Lector Matthews Langdon. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Earl Ennis, brothers, Drexal, Danville, Devaul and Daywood Langdon, sisters, Brookie Tripp and Brenda Langdon. Alongside her husband, Mrs. Ennis was the co-owner, bookkeeper/cashier at Earl’s Self Service Grocery Store in Coats, NC. She was a member of Coats Baptist Church in Coats, NC.

Surviving include her children, Sondra E. Smith and husband, Mike; Dale Ennis and wife, Deborah, and Gale Penny and husband, Tim; grandchildren, Marty Smith, Brandon Smith and wife, Rhonnie, Heather Ennis and husband, Wayne, Jamie Morrison and husband, T.J., and Jennifer Bart and husband, Jon; great-grandchildren, Caleb Smith, Dylan Smith, Gavin Smith, Kinsley Smith, Chance Ennis, Mady Ennis, Sydney Morrison, Carter Morrison, Micah Bart, Lydia Bart, and Isaiah Bart; brother, Don Langdon and wife, Carol; many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends 1:00PM-1:45PM, Saturday, June 26, 2021 at Coats Community Church in Coats, NC and other times at the home of her son, 225 Colt Ave, Coats, NC 27521.
