Benson, NC:  Mrs. Bertha Parker Stewart, age 98, of Benson died Monday, January 7, 2013, at Liberty Commons Nursing & Rehabilitation of Johnston County. Funeral services will be 2:00PM Friday, January 11, 2013, at the Rose & Graham Funeral Home Chapel in Benson. Officiating will be Rev. Jerome Pope. Burial will follow in Roselawn Cemetery. Mrs. Stewart was born January 8, 1914 in Johnston County to the late Joseph P. and Sarah Jones Parker. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Golden Monroe Stewart. Mrs. Stewart was a member of the Benson Church of God and had retired from Dorothea Dix Hospital in Raleigh. Surviving are Son & Daughter-In-Law, Ronnie & Wilma Stewart of Apex; Sister, Ellen P. Hall of Benson; Grandchildren, Trenton Stewart, Chris Stewart, & Sonya Clodfelter; Great Grandchildren, Casey Stewart, Joseph Clodfelter, Sarah Clodfelter, Aaron Stewart, & Ellie Stewart. Family will receive friends at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson from 6:00PM to 8:00PM Thursday, January 10, 2013, and other times at the home of Ronnie and Wilma Stewart, 8300 Bell’s Lake Road, Apex, NC.
