Betty Jean Barber

Raleigh, NC: Miss Betty Jean Barber, age 87 passed away on Monday, January 17, 2022 at Brookdale Assisted Living Center in Smithfield, NC. Funeral Services will be 11:00AM-Thursday, January 20, 2022 at Rose & Graham Funeral Chapel in Four Oaks, NC. Revs. Adam Charville and Tyler Wood will officiate. A private burial will follow in the Four Oaks City Cemetery in Four Oaks, NC.

Miss Barber was born on August 7, 1934 in Johnston County, NC to the late Carr Olive and Della Godwin Barber. She was preceded in death by her sister, Sarah Frances Barber. Miss Barber retired from the North Carolina Department of Transportation with 38 years of service. She received the Order of The Long Leaf Pine in 1993 and was also a member of Four Oaks United Methodist Church in Four Oaks, NC.

Surviving include many loving cousins and friends.

In accordance with the NC COVID 19 guidelines, the funeral home suggests practicing social distancing guidelines. Masks are required for all services.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorials be made to Four Oaks United Methodist Church, PO Box 177, Four Oaks, NC 27524.
