Betty Brannon

Marshallberg: Ms. Betty Ann Brannon, age 68, died Saturday, Septmber 22, 2012, at her residence after a courageous battle with ovarian cancer.  Funeral services will be 2:00PM Tuesday, September 25, 2012, at Rose & Graham Funeral Chapel in Benson. Officiating will be Dr. Ken Williams.  Burial will follow in Roselawn Cemetery in Benson. Ms. Brannon was born in Colorado on January 5, 1944 to Stella Katherine Gunter Brannon of Greenville, NC, and the late George “Mack” Brannon, Jr.  She was a supervisor of secretarial services at Carteret Community College.   Surviving, in addition to her mother, are daughter & son-in-law, Abby H. & Jack C. Bradford of Marshallberg; stepson, Bernis Nathan Smith, Jr., and wife, Crystal, of Charlotte; sister, Linda B. Little & husband, Tony, of Benson; brothers, Bobby Brannon & wife, Mary Anne, of Greenville and George Brannon, III, and wife, Deborah, of Chapel Hill; and Grandchildren, Haleigh Bradford, Stella Katherine Bradford and Cooper Smith. Family will receive friends at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson from 12:30PM to 1:30PM Tuesday prior to the service and other times at the home of Linda & Tony Little, 1194 Hodges Chapel Road, Benson, NC. Flowers are welcomed; however, memorials may be made to the OB-GYN Oncology Clinic, UNC LCCC, External Affairs Office, UNC CB#7295, Chapel Hill, NC 27599 or to an Ovarian Cancer Research Organization of one’s choice.
