Benson, NC: Mrs. Bonny Lynn Allen Massengill, age 71, of Godwin Lake Road died Monday, March 8, 2021 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. A Private Chapel Service will be held; however, the family invites you to join them for a 2:30PM, public Graveside Service on Thursday, March 11, 2021 at the Massengill Family Cemetery located near 252 Godwin Lake Road, Benson, NC. Officiating will be Rev. Glenn McCullen.
Mrs. Massengill was born on October 11, 1949 in Harnett County to the late David T. and Iva Belle Ellis Allen. She was preceded in death by her sister, Doris Johnson. Mrs. Massengill retired from Johnston County Public Schools after spending many years at South Johnston High School working in the guidance department.
Surviving include her husband of 50 years, Tony Massengill; sons, Jason Massengill and wife, Shannon of Benson, Jeremy Massengill and wife, Heather of Garner, Justin Massengill and wife, Meghan of Benson; grandchildren, Karson Massengill, Maylee Massengill, Eli and Clayton Massengill; sisters, Shirley Liverman of Chattanooga, TN, Janice Hall of Benson, Jackie Matthews of Coats; several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Massengill will be available for viewing and you may sign the register book on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 from 2:00PM-7:00PM at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson, NC. The family will not be present during this time.
The Massengill Family will receive friends all other times at the home.
In accordance with the current NC-COVID-19 guidelines, the funeral home suggests practicing social distancing guidelines and the three W's: wait, wash and wear a face covering. A mask is required for all services.
