Brenda Gail Ferrell Johnson

Four Oaks, NC: Mrs. Brenda Gail Ferrell Johnson, age 76, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 6, 2024 at the SECU Hospice House in Smithfield, NC.  Funeral Services will be held 3:00PM-Sunday, June 9, 2024 at Oliver’s Grove Baptist Church, Four Oaks, NC. Rev. Jessie Brock, Rev. Joe Brown and Mrs. Kay Dunn will officiate. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. 

Mrs. Johnson was born on March 8, 1948 in Johnston County, NC to the late June Wade and Gertrude Whittenton Ferrell. She retired from the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services in Raleigh, NC.  Brenda was a very meticulous lady and enjoyed the beach, the lake, traveling, shopping, and spending time with her family. Together during her husband’s military service, they were able to travel the United States, Europe, and Germany.  She was faithful member of Burnell Baptist Church, Four Oaks, NC. 

Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Gary Randall Johnson; sister, Dorothy A. “Dot” Ferrell of Garner, NC; brother, Robert L. Ferrell and wife Joyce of Climax, NC; many loving nieces and nephews, and special friends, Victor and Rose Hocutt of Four Oaks, NC. 

The family will receive friends from 6:00PM-8:00PM Saturday, June 8, 2024 at Rose and Graham Funeral Home in Four Oaks, NC, and other times at the home.
