Four Oaks, NC: Mrs. Brenda Sue Barbour Ashby, age 68, of 402 N. Main Street died Monday, May 28, 2012. Funeral services will be 11:00AM Thursday, May 31, 2012 at Hickory Grove Advent Christian Church. Officiating will be Revs. Bob Copeland, John Foster, and Grace Hargis. Burial will follow in Corinth United Methodist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Ashby was born October 31, 1943 in Johnston County to the late Lester and Lula Wallace Barbour. She was also preceded in death by Daughters, Susan Denise Ashby Penny, and infant, Jenny Lou Ashby; Sisters, Linda Lou B. (twin sister) Strickland and Florence B. Byrd; and Brother, Gardner Barbour. Mrs. Ashby was a member of Hickory Grove Advent Christian Church, and was a secretary with the Wake County Health Department. Surviving include Husband, Dennis Ashby; Son-In- Law, Todd Penny of Four Oaks; Grandson, Trevor Wayne Penny of Four Oaks; and Sister, Lois Horton of Four Oaks. Family will receive friends 6:00PM to 8:00PM Wednesday, May 30, 2012, at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson.
