Four Oaks, NC: Mrs. Carrie Lee Holmes Parker, age 76, of 98 Heath Road died Friday at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh with her family by her side. Funeral Services will be held 2:00PM-Sunday at the Rose & Graham Funeral Chapel in Four Oaks. Officiating will be Elder Tony Parker. Burial will follow in the Hills of The Neuse Memory Gardens.
Mrs. Parker was born in Johnston County on January 19, 1938 to the late Buster and Carrie Belle Jones Holmes. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Elvin Parker, son, Steve Parker, a grandson, Matthew Stewart and brothers, Billy, Tim and Jerry Holmes. Mrs. Parker was a machine operator for Champion Products in Clayton for 27 years. She attended Four Oaks Primitive Baptist Church.
Surviving are daughters and sons-in-law: Rose Stewart and husband, Mike of Four Oaks, Janet Corno and husband, George of Murrells Inlet, SC; three grandchildren, Christie Avery of Myrtle Beach, Melissa Otto and Kelly Parada both of Smithfield; three great-grandchildren, Nicholas Olivares, Christina Hernandez, and Daniel Hernandez; sisters, Faye Wiggins of Angier, Linda Fox of Smithfield and JoAnn Gilmore of Selma; brothers, Bobby Holmes of Angier, Tommy Holmes of Selma; Several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Four Oaks, 6:00PM-8:00PM, Saturday.
