Cecil Stancil

Dunn, NC:  Mr. Cecil Cellon Stancil, age 72, of 5272 Fairground Road died Thursday, November 23, 2017.  Funeral Service will be 11:00AM Monday at Rose & Graham Funeral Home Chapel in Benson. Officiating will be Rev. R. B. Parrish.  Burial will follow in Hodges Chapel Church Cemetery, Benson, NC.Mr. Stancil was born August 17, 1945 in Harnett County to the late Cecil Waytis and Ruby Evelyn Norris Stancil.  He was also preceded in death by his brother, Tommy Stancil. Mr. Stancil retired from Dorothea Dix with the NC State Department.  He was in the National Guard and a member of Club 41 (Dorothea Dix Employees).Surviving include son and daughter-in-law, Neal and Amy Stancil of Clayton; daughter and son-in-law, Lorie S. and Eric Smith of Clayton; granddaughters, Alexus and Haley Stancil and Paige Smith; grandson, Parker Smith; mother of his children, Edna Stancil; special friend, JoAnn Hardison; sister, Betty Jackson; several nieces and nephews.The family will receive friends 6:00PM - 8:00PM Sunday at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson and other times at the home.Service Information
