Charles Norris

Lexington, NC:  Mr. Charles Arron Norris, age 76, of 429 Riverview Lane died Thursday, May 10, 2012, at Genesis Eldercare in Salisbury. Funeral service will be 3:00PM Monday, May 14, 2012, at Stone’s Creek Advent Christian Church in Benson. Rev. Doug Abel and Dr. Larry Withrow will officiate.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mr. Norris was born October 29, 1935 in Johnston County to the late Joseph and Eva Knowles Norris.  He was also preceded in death by a brother, Stacy Norris, and a sister, Lucy Norris. Mr. Norris served in the U. S. Army during the Korean Conflict and was a truck driver for Byrd Motor Lines for 22 years.  He was a member of the 2nd Baptist Church in Dunn.  Surviving are wife, Annabelle “Ann” Boyer Norris; Children & Spouses, Cindy & Albert Manis of Poplar Bluff, MO, Keith & Wanda Raymer of Rougemont, Lisa & Jeff Hurt of Lexington, and Daniel & Leslie Norris of Lexington; Brothers & Sisters, Donald Norris of Dunn, Hugh Norris of Dunn, Robert Norris of Erwin, Roy Norris of Dunn and Janice Thornton of Dunn; 8 Grandchildren; and 5 Great Grandchildren. Family will receive friends at Stone’s Creek Advent Christian Church from 2:00PM to 3:00PM Monday prior to the service.
