Christine Marie Lee

Smithfield: Mrs. Christine Marie Lee, age 72, died on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at UNC Johnston Health in Clayton. Graveside Funeral Service will be held on Monday, January 24, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. at the Johnson Family Cemetery in Benson. Rev. Mitch Horton will officiate.

Mrs. Lee was born on November 7, 1949 in Wisconsin to the late George Thomas and Jackelyn C. Delebeck. She is preceded in death by her husband, Luther Kirby Lee, Sr., and several brothers and sisters. Mrs. Lee was a retired CNA with Dorothea Dix Hospital and teacher’s assistant.

Surviving are her daughter, Christina Hope Lee of Four Oaks; sons, Andrew James Lee of Virginia, Luther Kirby Lee, Jr. of Wilson; seven grandchildren; brothers, Leif Delebeck, Bruce Delebeck, and Ronald Delebeck; several nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends immediately following the graveside service.

In Accordance with NC-COVID -19 guidelines, the funeral home suggests practicing social distancing guidelines and the three W's: wait, wash, and wear a face covering. Masks are not required but suggested.
