Curtis Wayne Gautier

December 28, 1946 — July 2, 2016

Benson: Mr. Curtis Wayne Gautier, age 69, of 1435 Hodges Chapel Road died Saturday at Rex Healthcare in Raleigh.  Funeral Services will be  3:00PM Tuesday at Rose & Graham Funeral Chapel in Benson.   Officiating will be Rev. Tom Wagoner.  Burial will follow in Hodges Chapel Church Cemetery.             Mr. Gautier was born on December 28, 1946  in Sampson County to the late Jesse Willard and Mildred Louise Harrell Gautier.  He was preceded in death by his first wife, Pamela Pleasant Gautier; brothers, Willard Gautier, Jesse Gautier, Bo Gautier, Tony Gautier; a sister, Merandy Gautier.  Mr. Gautier was a retired Vietnam Veteran with 36 years of service.  He attended Leslie United Methodist Church.               Survivors include his wife of 4 years,  Wanda Rayborn Gautier of Benson, son and daughter-in-law, Chandler Wayne and Cheryl Gautier of  Dunn; step-daughters, Donna Gail Lloyd of Lillington  and Lisa Knight and husband, Scott of St. Louis, MO; 5 step-grandchildren and 5 step-great grandchildren; sister, Louise Whaley of New Bern and mother-in-law, Mae Pleasant of Benson; half-brother, Paul Moody of Mt. Oliver; many nieces and nephews.             Family will receive friends  at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson 1:30PM to 2:30PM prior to the service and other times at the home.             Flowers are welcome; however, memorials may be made to  St. Jude's Children's Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105 and Wounded Warriors Project, P.O. Box 758517 Topeka, Kansas 66675.
