Danny Matthews

Princeton, NC:  Mr. Danny L. Matthews, age 60, of 154 Haven Lane died Thursday, July 26, 2018 at Smithfield Manor in Smithfield.  Funeral Service will be 6:00 PM  Monday, July 30, 2018 at Rose & Graham Funeral Home Chapel in Benson, NC.  Officiating will be Revs. Jack Booth, Jr., Ed Johnson and Don Dewberry. Graveside service will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at the Grimes Family Cemetery in Willow Spring, NC.              Mr. Matthews was born June 19, 1958 in Harnett County to the late Simon King Matthews and Mary Louise Stephenson Stanley.  He was also preceded in death by his brother, Dan Holland and step-father, Charles William Stanley. Mr. Matthews retired from Johnston County Industries and was a member of White Memorial Presbyterian Church.             Surviving include his sisters and brother-in-law, Mary Rhodes of Clayton and Shirley and Doug Creech of Smithfield; nephews, Jeff Knox, David Stanley, Jerry Stanley, and Dexter Lillard; niece, Janelle Holland; three great-nephews, two great nieces, one great-great nephew and two great-great nieces;             The family will receive friends immediately following the service on Monday at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson.             Flowers are welcomed; however, memorials may be made to  White Memorial Presbyterian Church 1459 White Memorial Church Road Willow Spring, NC 27592.             Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.roseandgraham.com
