David Nelson Goforth

David Nelson Goforth, 60, of Troutman passed away March 11, 2021 at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh. He was preceded in death by his parents Mr. and Mrs. Hoyle N. Goforth. David was a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and earned his MBA at Appalachian State University. His hobbies included playing chess, fishing, going to concerts with friends and cheering for the Tarheels. He especially loved being “Uncle DD” to his nephews and spending time with his closest neighbors at Lake Norman. David is survived by his sister Linda Johnson and husband Jim of Benson, nephews William Johnson of Benson and Ethan Johnson and wife Jenna of Four Oaks. A celebration of life will be held at the family’s home at Lake Norman on Saturday, April 17, 2021 from 1 to 3 p.m. Arrangements by Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson
