Debbie Wood Lee

Benson, NC: Mrs. Debbie Wood Lee, age 67, of Brocklyn Street passed away on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at her residence. Funeral Services will be held 11:00AM Saturday, April 16, 2022 at Stone’s Creek Advent Christian Church in Benson. Officiating will be Rev. Scott Johnson. Burial will follow in Banner Chapel Advent Christian Church Cemetery, Benson.

Debbie was born on February 4, 1955 in Johnston County, NC to the late Waylon B. and Shirley Wheeler Wood. She was preceded in death by her sister, Linda Medlin. Debbie retired as a Physical Education and Health Instructor with Cumberland County Public Schools. She was a member of Stone’s Creek Advent Christian Church.

Surviving includes her husband of 12 years, David Allen Lee; step-children, Brian Lee and wife, Nickie, Joni Lee, Kimberly Johnson and husband, Matt; six step-grandchildren; brother, Danny Wood and wife, Teresa; and several nieces and nephews.

         Debbie loved working in her yard and in her flower gardens, where the family will receive friends on Friday, April 15, 2022 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at 404 West Brocklyn Street, Benson, NC 27504.

          Flowers are welcome; however, memorials may be made to Stone’s Creek Advent Christian Church, c/o, Phyllis Barefoot, 64 Wood’s Crossroads Road, Benson, NC 27504.
