Deborah Ballard Godwin

Coats, NC: Mrs. Deborah Ballard Godwin, age 69, of Williams Road, passed away on Thursday, July 6, 2023 at her residence.  Funeral Services will be 2:00PM Monday, July 10, 2023 at Rose & Graham Funeral Chapel in Coats, NC.  Rev. Billy Keith will officiate. Burial will follow in Harnett Devotional Gardens, Dunn, NC.

Mrs. Godwin was born on March 10, 1954, to the late Henry Franklin and Kathleen Walker Ballard.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Alan “Bobby” Godwin and a daughter, Jennifer Ellis Wood. Mrs. Godwin was a homemaker and attended Prospect Free Will Baptist Church.

Survivors include her son, Anthony Ellis and friend, Allyson; grandchildren, Billy Franklin Wood, Jr., and wife, Madeline, Cherokee Marie Wood and friend, Tyler; and Dalton Griffin Wood and wife, Emily; great-grandchildren, Brayden James Wood, David Ray Langley, Isabella River Wood, and Cassian Nicholas Wood; brothers, Don Ballard and Wayne Ballard; sister, Michelle Earnhart; special friend, Johnnie Mize; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 12:30PM-1:45PM-Monday, July 10, 2023 at Rose and Graham Funeral Home in Coats, NC, and other times at the home.
