Donald Barbour

Four Oaks, NC: Mr. Donald Ray Barbour, age 80 of 237 Civitan Rd. died Monday. Funeral Services will be 4:00 PM Thursday, May 17, 2018, at Rose & Graham Funeral Chapel in Four Oaks. Mr. Ricky Byrd and Rev. Allen Wayne Stanley will officiate. Burial will follow in Barbour's Chapel Advent Christian Church Cemetery, Four Oaks.   Mr. Barbour was born in Johnston County on February 28, 1938 to the late Willie Ralph, Sr.  and Onie Mae Massengill Barbour. He was preceded in death by his brother, Ralph Barbour, Jr. and sister Elinor Barbour Corbett. Mr. Barbour was a retired North Carolina State Correctional Officer and was a US Army Veteran.   He was a retired charter member of the Four Oaks Rescue Squad and also a member of Barbour's Chapel Church.           Survivors include his special life long companion of 44 years, Ella Martin; brother and sister-in-law, Willis and Maylon Barbour; many loving nieces and nephews; special extended family,  Rodney and Peggy Jo Martin and Allen and Janet Martin and their families all of Four Oaks.         The family will receive friends 6:00 PM  to 8:00 PM Wednesday, May 16, 2018, at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Four Oaks and other times at the home of Ella Martin, 8052 US HWY 301 South, Four Oaks, NC 27524.                  Flowers are welcomed, or memorials may be made to Four Oaks EMS, PO Box 681, Four Oaks, NC 27524.
