Benson: Mr. Donald Ray Ennis, Sr., age 74, of 147 Evelyn Lane died Tuesday at his residence. Memorial Service will be 6:00PM Friday at the Rose and Graham Funeral Chapel in Benson. Rev. Bobby Caudle will officiate.
Mr. Ennis was born September 18, 1937 in Harnett County to Evelyn Ennis and the late Hubert Ennis, Sr. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dee Ennis and a sister Priscilla Kaye Ennis. Mr. Ennis was a retired brick mason and a member of Community Chapel Church.
Surviving in addition to his mother are; Daughter and Son-In-Law, Annette and Wade Dodson of Fuquay-Varina; Sons and Daughter-In-Law, Donald Lynn Ennis of Fuquay-Varina, Joel and Sonya Ennis of Four Oaks, Sammy Ennis of Elizabeth City and Donald Ray Ennis, Jr. of Windsor; Step-Daughter, Debbie White of Pittsboro; Sister, Pam Ennis of Dunn; Brothers and Sisters-In-Law, Lynwood and Jean Ennis of Dunn; Hubert Ennis, Jr. of Dunn, Hal and Sharon Ennis of Benson, Gary and Ann Ennis of Benson, Phil and Anne Ennis of Dunn, Stanley Ennis of Pink Hill, and Perry and Nikki Ennis of Dunn; Nineteen Grandchildren; Three Great-Grandchildren; Several Nieces and Nephews.
Family will receive friends immediately following the service and other times at the home of Phil and Anne Ennis 2835 Fairground Rd Dunn, NC 28334.
