Donald Hollingsworth

Coats, NC: Mr. Donald C. Hollingsworth, age 77, of 1620 NC 55 W. died Sunday, March 24, 2013 at UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill. Funeral Services will be 11:00AM Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at the Rose & Graham Funeral Chapel in Coats. Officiating will be Revs. Stancil Baucom and Blair Little. Burial will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park in Fayetteville, NC. Mr. Hollingsworth was born November 1, 1935 in Sampson County to the late Wilbert C. & Eloise Bennett Hollingsworth. He was preceded in death by a brother Bobby Hollingsworth and a grandson, Christopher Tyson.  Mr. Hollingsworth retired with 29 years of service with the US Postal Service where he spent the last 13 years as postmaster in Buies Creek, NC.  After retirement, he joined Fidelity Bank in Buies Creek, NC where he served as a bank teller for 12 years.  Mr. Hollingsworth was a member of Pleasant Memory Baptist Church.   Surviving are Wife of 42 years, Nancy Owens Hollingsworth, Children & Spouses, Donny & Jennifer Hollingsworth of Lillington, Debbie Hollingsworth of St. Pauls, Donna & Chuck Schilling of Hope Mills, Bruce Parham of Fayetteville, Wayne & Anita Parham of Fayetteville and Albert & Marilyn Parham of Stedman. Sister  & Brother-in-law, Jewel & John Loper of Fayetteville. 13 Grandchildren and 8 Great-Grandchildren.   Family will receive friends from 6:00PM-8:00PM Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Coats.   Flowers are welcomed, however memorials maybe made to ones favorite  charity.
