Coats, NC:  Mr. Donald "Donnie" Wayne Matthews, age 64, of 620 Harvell Road died Monday at his residence. Funeral Services will be 11:00AM Thursday at Prospect Free Will Baptist Church. Officiating will be Rev. Turner Matthews. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.Donnie was born December 28, 1952 in Harnett County to the late Julian Turner and Margaret Stewart Matthews. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Gloria Elaine Matthews. Donnie was a carpenter for many years and a member of South Erwin Baptist Church.Surviving include his children, Cullen Matthews and wife, Laurie, Taylor Matthews, Addison Matthews, and Kennady Matthews all of Coats; grandchildren, Avery Matthews and Stuart Matthews; sisters, Vicki Watson of Conover, NC, Ann Wilkerson of Greenville, NC, Susie Taylor of Greenville, NC; brother, Craig Matthews and wife, Denise of Coats; several nieces and nephews.Family will receive friends Wednesday night from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Coats and other times at the home.Service Information
