Doris Campbell Ennis

Coats, NC: Mrs. Doris Campbell Ennis, age 89, of East Main Street passed away on Saturday, June 18, 2022 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Funeral Services will be 11:00AM-Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at Rose & Graham Funeral Home Chapel in Coats. Rev. Neal Thornton will officiate. Burial will follow in the Coats City Cemetery.

Mrs. Ennis was born on April 23, 1933 in Harnett County to the late Wade and Vira Lee Campbell. She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Ray Ennis; brothers, Howard Campbell, Gary Leslie Campbell, and William Ray Campbell. Mrs. Ennis was a homemaker and a member of Coats Baptist Church.

Surviving are her sons, Donald Ray Ennis and wife, Carletta of Coats, Gary Michael Ennis of Coats; grandchildren, Christopher Michael Ennis and wife, Christy of Holly Springs, Adam Kyle Ennis and wife, Emilee of Brevard, Chad Alan Ennis and wife, Tricia of Athens, GA, Joshua Michael Ennis and Angie Ramírez of Clayton; sister, Evelyn Wood and husband , Jack; eleven great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends from 10:00AM to 10:45AM on Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Coats and other times at the home of Donald and Carletta Ennis, 106 Trolly Lane Coats, NC 27521.

The Ennis Family would like to thank Mrs. Ennis’s caregivers, Donna Penny, Diane West, Daciah Jones, Gerry Layne, Felicia Hernandez, and Alicia Anderson for the loving care they gave to their mother.

Flowers are welcomed; however, memorials may be made to Coats Baptist Church, P.O. Box 297 Coats, NC or to one’s favorite charity.
