Dorothy Olive

Four Oaks, NC:  Ms. Dorothy Temple Olive, age 82, passed away Tuesday at Liberty Commons Nursing Center in Benson.  Funeral Services will be held 12:00 PM Friday at Rose and Graham Funeral Chapel in Four Oaks.  Burial will follow in Hills of the Neuse Memory Gardens, Smithfield.  Rev. Shirley Ward will officiate.Ms. Olive was born on December 27, 1934 in Johnston County to the late Vernon and Viola West Temple.  She was preceded in death by her sons, Neil Gray Olive and John Wesley Olive, ex-husband, Billy Olive. Ms. Olive was a retired beautician and was also an organist serving many congregations. She was an avid gardener and cook.  Ms. Olive was a member of Pisgah Baptist Church.Surviving are grandsons, Tyler Gray Olive and William Vaughn Olive; brother and sister-in-law, Ray and Marilyn Temple of Four Oaks; sister and brother-in-law, Vicky T. and Donald Rains of Princeton; niece, Anna Elizabeth Rains; nephew, Logan West Rains; several cousins.The family will receive friends 10:45AM-11:45AM Friday prior to the service at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Four Oaks.Flowers are welcomed; however memorials may be sent to the Johnston County Heritage Center, PO Box 2709, Smithfield, NC 27577Service Information
