Douglas Langdon, Sr.

Benson, NC:  Mr. Douglas Steele Langdon, Sr. age 82 of 125 Federal Road passed away Thursday May 24, 2012 at Johnston Medical Center in Smithfield, NC.  Funeral Service will be held 2:00PM Sunday, May 27, 2012 at Rose & Graham Funeral Chapel.  Officiating will be Revs. David Langley and Aubrey Williamson.  Burial will follow in Roselawn Cemetery, Benson, NC. Mr. Langdon was born in Johnston County, NC on August 21, 1929 to the late James Burtus & Gladys Barbour Langdon. He was preceded in death by his Sister, June Barbour. Mr. Langdon was a farmer and member of St. Mary’s Grove Original Free Will Baptist Church.  Surviving are Wife of 61 years, Dorothy Beasley Langdon; Sons & Daughter-in-law, Doug & Wanda Langdon of Benson, NC and Randy Langdon of Shelby; Sisters, Shirley Parrish of Benson, NC and Betty Sue Thomas of Carthage, NC.  Two Grandchildren, Dylan Langdon and Chase Langdon; One Great-Grandson, Aiden Langdon Family will receive friends Sunday, May 27, 2012 from 1:00PM-1:45PM prior to the service at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson. Flowers are welcomed; however memorials may be made to one’s favorite charity.
