Duncan Coats, Jr.

Coats, NC:  Mr. Duncan Stewart Coats, Jr., age 73, of 55 Paul Clayton Circle died Sunday, November 6, 2016 at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh.  Memorial service will be 11:00AM Saturday at Benson Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church.  Officiating will be Rev. Glenn McCullen.             Mr. Coats was born on June 15, 1943, to the late Duncan Stewart Coats, Sr. and Esther Ivey Coats.  He was also preceded in death by a brother, Jackie Coats, and a sister, Judy K. Coats.  Mr. Coats retired from the U. S. Air Force after 27 years of service.  He served in the VietNam conflict.                      He is survived by his daughters, Landee C. Coats & Dana C. Conroy, both of Dayton, OH, and Debbie C. Hunt of Indianapolis; sisters, Barbara C. Rice of Katy, TX and Sarah C. Bland of Clinton; and brother, Jerry T. Coats of Benson; and nieces & nephews.              In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Cancer Society, 8300 Health Park Suite 10, Raleigh, NC 27615.             Arrangements by Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson.
