Earl Lee

July 31, 1924 — April 24, 2015

Four Oaks, NC;  Mr. Earl Lee, age 90,  passed away on Friday, April 24, 2015 at the SECU Hospice House in Smithfield.  Funeral services will be held 4:00PM-Sunday at Pauline Baptist Church, Four Oaks.  Entombment will follow in the church cemetery.  Officiating will be Dr. Robert Cooke.             Mr. Lee was born July 31, 1924 in Johnston County to the late Clyda Mae Lee Haire.  He was preceded in death by brothers, Ed Lee, Ira B. Lee, Eston Lee, W.M. Haire and Jessie Haire, Jr., sisters, Martha Grice & Ruth Westbrook and step-father, Jessie James Haire.  Earl retired from Dixie Block Company in Four Oaks after 35 years of service. Mr. Lee was also a farmer and longtime member of Pauline Baptist Church where he served in many capacities.             Surviving are wife of 64 years, Ercell Batten Lee; daughter & son-in-law, Janice L. & Joe Gregory; son & daughter-in-law, Kenneth  & Darlene Lee all of Four Oaks; grandchildren and spouses, Michael Gregory,  Melissa & Allen Roberts, Jonathan & Michelle Lee all of Four Oaks and Matthew & Megan Lee of Princeton; great-grandchildren, Maci Lee, Andrew Roberts, Caden Lee and Will Lee; sisters, Dorothy Underhill of Smithfield, Rachel Aman of Clinton, Verlene Barbour of Greenville and Naomi Coker of Florida; Many nieces and nephews.                 The family wishes to thank the staff of Liberty Commons of Johnston County in Benson and the SECU Hospice House in Smithfield for their loving care given to Mr. Lee.             The family will receive friends Saturday 6:00PM-8:00PM  at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Four Oaks and other times at the home.             Flowers are welcomed, however, memorials may be made to Pauline Baptist Church Fellowship Renovation Fund C/O Janice Gregory 2915 Lee's Union Church Road, Four Oaks, NC 27524.             Arrangements  by Rose and Graham Funeral Home in Four Oaks, NC.
