Earline Wood

Benson, NC: Mrs. Earline McLamb Wood, age 90, died Saturday, August 10, 2019 at her residence.  Funeral Service will be 2:00 PM, Monday, August 12, 2019 at Rose & Graham Funeral Chapel in Benson.  Officiating will be Rev. C.H. Lee. Burial will follow in Roselawn Cemetery, Benson.             Mrs. Wood was born on January 1, 1929 in Johnston County to the late Alton and Nellie Strickland McLamb.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Cletus Wood; son-in-law, Pete Ennis; sisters, Doris Lee and Geraldine McLamb and a brother, Shelton D. McLamb. Mrs. Wood was a retired supervisor in the textile industry and  was a member of Beulah Baptist Church.                        Survivors include her children, Donnie Wood and wife, Ruthalene; Eddie Wood and wife, Sue; and Vickie Wood Ennis all of Benson; grandchildren, Adam Wood, Matthew Wood, Nicholas Wood and wife, Angela; Wendy Lee and husband, Martin; Steven Capps and Lindsay; and Reed Capps and wife, April; twelve great-grandchildren; brother, Dwight McLamb and wife, Linda of Oak Island; many nieces and nephews.             The family will receive friends from 12:30PM to 1:45PM Monday, August 12, 2019 prior to the funeral service  at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson and other times at the home of Donnie and Ruthalene Wood, 2455 NC HWY 242 S.
