Earnest Glenwood Clifton

Erwin, NC – Mr. Earnest Glenwood “Brother” Clifton, Jr. 67, of 207 Pineview Drive passed away, Sunday October 9, 2011 at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill. A Celebration of Life will be held 11:00AM Wednesday, October 12, 2011 at First Baptist Church in Dunn. Officiating will be Dr. Len T. Keever, Jr. Mr. Clifton was born March 21, 1944 in Harnett County to the late Earnest Glenwood, Sr. and Ada Hood Clifton. He was preceded in death by a sister, Cecelia Clifton Curcio. Mr. Clifton was a 1962 graduate of Meadow High School and a graduate of Atlantic Christian College and Campbell College. He was an automotive salesman for George Carroll Chevrolet and retired from Bleecker Automotive Group. Brother was a volunteer fireman with the Meadow and Benson Fire Departments.               Surviving are: Wife, Nancy Wright Clifton; Children and Spouses, Blair & Mitzi Nuckols of Virginia Beach, VA; Nicole & Scott Gossage of Smithfield; Meredith & Julian Holland of Dunn; Lindsay Irvine of Chicago, IL; and Seth & Beth Nuckols of Ft. Meade Md; Grandchildren, Kali, Blair II, Canyon and Emily Nuckols, Kaya Irvine, Ella & Cole Holland and Peyton Nuckols, Sisters and Brothers-in-law, Cathy & Dan Bland, and Phyllis & Van Parker.  Several Nieces and Nephews and his beloved dog Sammy.   Family will receive friends from 6:00PM to 8:00PM Tuesday at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson and other times at the home of Meredith & Julian Holland 1000 W.
