Edith Reardon

Four Oaks, NC: Mrs. Edith R. Reardon, age 79,  died Wednesday at the SECU Hospice House in Smithfield. Funeral services will be 2:00PM Sunday at Piney Grove PFWB Church, Four Oaks. Officiating will be Revs. Joel Brown, Floyd Turlington. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Reardon was born in Cumberland County on May 3, 1937 to the late Joseph Martin, Sr. and Ida Leona Hairr McCorquodale. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Reardon. Mrs. Reardon was a homemaker, a seamstress, and a member of Piney Grove PFWB Church. Surviving include, children and spouses, James Ellis Reardon and wife, Diane of West Jefferson, Marty Glenn Reardon and wife, Kathy of Four Oaks, Susan R. Larrimore and husband, Willie of Hope Mills; Five grandchildren; Three great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers-in-law, Esther Swisderski of Fayetteville, Sheila Johnson and husband, Bruce of Erwin, Elsie Holland and husband, Al of Dunn; brother, Joseph Martin McCorquodale, Jr. of Dunn; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Saturday at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Four Oaks from  6:00PM to 8:00PM and other times at the home of Marty and Kathy Reardon 198 Heath Rd. Four Oaks, NC 27524.
