Hubert, NC: Mrs. Edna McLamb Black, formerly of Dunn, age 86, of 123 Kennedy Circle died Tuesday at her residence. Funeral Services will be 11:00AM Friday at Rose & Graham Funeral Chapel in Benson. Officiating will be Rev. James Talton McLamb. Burial will follow in Harnett Devotional Gardens.
Mrs. Black was born October 1, 1928 in Johnston County to the late Willis Talton and Maebelle Wilkins McLamb. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jack Mason Black; son-in-law, Tommie Kennedy; sisters, Margie Waddell, Hilda Sorrell and Clara Norris. Mrs. Black was a retired nursing assistant, homemaker and also a member of Bethsaida Primitive Baptist Church.
Surviving are daughters & son-in-law, Brenda Kennedy of Hubert, Kimmie & Steve Fox of Lillington; sons & daughters-in-law, Linn & Cindy Jones of Winston Salem, Danny & Gina Black of Sylvester, GA; nine grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; sister & brother-in-law, Linda & Edward Chance of Arizona; brothers & sisters-in-law, W. T. McLamb, Sr., William E. & Mary McLamb all of Benson; James & Peggy McLamb of Erwin; and several nieces & nephews.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 6:00PM-8:00PM at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson and other times at the home of Kimmie & Steve Fox, 720 Word Church Lane, Lillington, NC 27546.
