McGee’s Crossroads, NC: Mrs. Edna Honeycutt McLamb, age 75, of 3404 Zacks Mill Road died Thursday, May 2, 2013, at Wake Medical Center in Cary. A funeral service will be 3:00PM Sunday, May 5, 2013, at Rose & Graham Funeral Chapel in Benson. Officiating will be Pastor Clarry Gathers and Rev. Addie Rawls. Entombment will be at Fellowship Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery at a later date.
Mrs. McLamb was born March 18, 1938 in Johnston County to the late James Fred and Bertie Cornelia Stephenson Honeycutt. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Maudie Lee McGee; and brothers, Edward, Thomas, Leonard, Clyde, and Clarence Honeycutt. Following her retirement from the NC Division of Social Services, Child Support Enforcement Section, Mrs. McLamb was a Deputy Registrar with the Johnston County Register of Deeds for 11 years.
Surviving are devoted husband of 55 years, Donald McLamb; daughters, Pam McLamb and husband, Mike Edwards, of Willow Spring and Patti McLamb-Creed and husband, Travis Creed of Cary; sons, Don McLamb of Raleigh and Tim McLamb, and partner, Andrew Klutz, of Cary; grandchildren, Ethan & Aaron Edwards and Soren Creed; and sister, Pauline H. Jones of McGee’s Crossroads.
Family will receive friends at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson immediately following the service.
