Edward Eugene Jones

Four Oaks, NC: Mr. Edward Eugene “Ed” Jones, age 75, passed away on Friday, January 19, 2024 at UNC Johnston Health in Clayton, NC.  Graveside Funeral Services will be 2:00PM-Tuesday, January 23, 2024 at Hills of the Neuse Memory Gardens in Smithfield, NC.  The Family will receive friends from 12:30PM-1:30PM, Tuesday, January 23, 2024 at Rose and Graham Funeral Home in Four Oaks, NC, and other times at the home of Eddie and Jeanette Jones 1599 Strickland’s Crossroads Road, Four Oaks, NC 27524.

Mr. Jones was born on August 5, 1948 in Johnston County, NC to the late Lonnie Eugene Jones and Irene Davis Jones.  He was also preceded in death by the mother of his children, Susan Parnell Jones, his second wife, Shirley Patricia Jones, and his sister, Brenda Powell. Mr. Jones was a retired carpenter, and was also a Vietnam Marine Veteran.  He loved to fish, drag racing, and also enjoyed buying and selling things. 

Survivors include his children, Eddie Jones and wife, Jeanette of Four Oaks, NC; Jerry Wayne Jones and wife, Angela of Selma, NC; and Pamela Capps and husband, Travis of Four Oaks, NC; grandchildren, Heather Jones, Eddie Ray Jones, Samuel Eugene Jones and Sarah Alexis Messer; great-granddaughter, Maeve Annette Jones; sisters, Linda Pinder of Pine Level, NC, and Angie Glover of Smithfield, NC; several nieces and nephews.
