Elaine Lee

Benson, NC: Mrs. Elaine Massengill Lee, age 68, of 5432 Meadowbrook Rd died Saturday at her residence. Funeral services will be 3:00PM Tuesday at the Rose & Graham Funeral Home Chapel in Benson.  Officiating will be Mr. Tony Capps, Dr. Zane Lapinske, and Mr. James “Bud” Williams. Burial will follow in Roselawn Cemetery, Benson. Mrs. Lee was born July 12, 1943 in Johnston County to the late John Braxton and Vida Smith Massengill. She was also preceded in death by several brothers and sisters. Mrs. Lee was graduate of Meadow High School Class of 1961 and she retired after 22 years of service as the Meadow Elementary School cafeteria manager. Mrs. Lee and her husband were honored as the Grand Marshall’s for 2004 Mule Days Parade. Surviving include Husband of 47 years, John Leonard Lee of Benson; Daughter, Cynthia Lee of Dunn; Son, John Leonard Lee, II, of Benson; Granddaughter, Gracie Louise Lee of Four Oaks; Sisters, Myrtle Lee of High Point, NC, Golda Dockery of Thomasville, NC, Brenda Hayes of Benson; Several Nieces and Nephews. Family will receive friends from 6:00pm until 8:00pm Monday at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Meadow Elementary School Students in memory of Mrs. Elaine Lee 7505 NC 50 Hwy South Benson, NC 27504.
