Eldred Beasley

Four Oaks, NC:  Mr. Eldred Easton Beasley, age 87, of 299 Stone Creek Rd died Tuesday, May 28, 2013. Graveside Service will be 11:00AM Thursday, May 30, 2013 at Blackman's Grove Baptist Church in Four Oaks.  Rev. Kirk Hall will officiate.   Mr. Beasley was born April 5, 1926 in Halifax County to the late Robert Cleveland and Maggie Mabel Lee Beasley.  He was a retired farmer, a US Army veteran of WWII, and a 20 year volunteer fireman with Blackman's Crossroads Fire Department. Mr. Beasley also retired from Burlington Industries after 20 years of service.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Eloise Rhodes Beasley, sons, Eldred Beasley, Jr., Charles Ray Beasley and several brothers and sisters. Surviving include, Daughters and Sons-In-Law, Shirley B. and Bobby Massengill of Four Oaks; Cathy B. and Neville Blanton of Four Oaks; Grandchildren, Robbie Lynn Massengill, Laura Marie Blanton, Matthew Wayne Blanton; Brothers, Orville Beasley of Clinton, Charles Beasley of Dunn, Sisters, Margaret Core of Dunn, Iris Lassiter of Aulander, NC; Several Nieces and Nephews. Family will receive friends at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson Wednesday, May 29, 2013, from 6:00PM until 8:00PM and other times at the home of Cathy and Neville Blanton of 1992 Hannah Creek Rd Four Oaks, NC 27524.   Flowers are welcome; however, memorial maybe made to John Wayne Cancer Institute at St. John's Health Center, 2200 Santa Monica Blvd. Santa Monica, California 90404.
