Elestine "Tina" Byrd

Benson, NC: Mrs. Elestine “Tina” Barbour Byrd, age 83, of 773 Pleasant Hill Church Road died Saturday, February 9, 2013, at Liberty Commons Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. Funeral services will be 11:00AM Tuesday, February 12, 2013, at Rose & Graham Funeral Chapel. Officiating will be Revs. Daniel Kirk and Bobby Phillips.  Burial will follow in Devotional Gardens in Dunn.  Mrs. Byrd was born October 6, 1929 in Johnston County to the late Willie L. and Pearl Clifton Barbour.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas “Mutt” Byrd; a daughter, Vanesia Barbour; sister, Shelby Lee; and brother, Ayden Barbour.  She was a homemaker and was a charter member of New Hope Christian & Missionary Alliance Church.  Surviving include son & daughter-in-law, Randy & Dana Byrd of Benson; daughters & son-in-law, Vickey Bullock and Shelia & Max Denning, all of Benson; sisters, Hilda Douglas of Angier, Evelyn Tretinik of PA, and Betty McGee of Raleigh; 10 Grandchildren; and 4 Great Grandchildren. The family will receive friends at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson from 6:00PM to 8:00PM Monday, February 11, 2013. Flowers are welcomed; however, memorials may be made to New Hope Christian & Missionary Alliance Church, 2642 Old Fairground Road, Angier, NC  27501.
