Elma Jean Reece

Four Oaks, NC: Ms. Elma “Jeanie” Reece, age 84 formerly of Four Oaks passed away on December 2, 2024 at SECU Hospice House in Smithfield. The family is a having a private service. 

Ms. Jeanie was born on August 14, 1940 in Booneville, Arkansas to the late William Elmer Dewitt and Margelene Weaver DeWitt. Jeanie was also preceded in death by her son, Billy Reece and a grandson, Christopher Reece. Jeanie loved to spend her free time with her family especially loving on her grandchildren.

Survivors are her sons, Joel Reece and wife, Kim, James Reece, Jr. and wife, Dee Dee; grandchildren, James Reece, III, Billy Joel Reece, David Reece, Daniel Reece, Justin Reece, Timothy Reece, Sarah Reece, Lucas Reece; along with nine great grandchildren; brothers, Edward DeWitt, Howard DeWitt, Jerry DeWitt, Ricky DeWitt, Gary DeWitt and Bobby DeWitt along with several nieces and nephews.
