Youngsville, NC: Mrs. Elouise Byrd Snead, age 88, passed away on Monday, February 15, 2021 at her son’s residence. Funeral Service will be 11:00AM- Thursday, February 18, 2021 at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Four Oaks. Officiating will be Rev. Gary Barnhardt.
Mrs. Snead was born in Johnston County on April 13, 1932 to the late Walter Haywood “Doc” and Ola Higgins Byrd. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Ray Snead, sisters, Rachel Grissom, Nellie Womack, Joyce Murphy and Louise Allen. Mrs. Snead retired from the facility service department of Wake Medical Center in Raleigh and was a homemaker.
Surviving include her sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry and Brenda Snead and Larry and Judy Snead; special daughter, Laura J. Byrd; grandchildren, Christopher R. Snead, John P. Snead, Joseph A. Broughton, Johnny Etheridge, Mike Cornett and Ian Locklear; great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn Snead, Haley Snead, Tori Davidson, Taylor Puryear and Abrie Tate; great-great-grandchildren, Holdyn Winn and Raiden Davidson; several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Snead will be available for viewing and you may sign the register book from 2:00PM to 6:00PM, Wednesday, February 17, 2021 at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Four Oaks, NC. The family will not be present during these times.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to one’s favorite charity.
